Application:
Coconut shell activated carbon is a good type of activated carbon used for purifying drinking water, removing chlorine, algae, oxygen, and catalytic carriers. It is more widely used in gold mining and can be used in water purifiers, filter fillers, and other water purification equipment; Can be used for carbon slurry method, heap leaching method, gold extraction, and separation and extraction of precious metals in metallurgical industry.
Matters needing attention:
1. Coconut shell activated carbon should not be mixed with hard substances during transportation, and should not be stepped on to prevent the carbon particles from breaking and affecting the quality.
2. Storage: It should be stored in a cool and dry place, so during transportation, storage, and use, it is necessary to prevent water immersion. After immersion, a large amount of water will fill the active voids, causing them to lose their function.
3. Preventing tar like substances: During use, tar like substances should be prohibited from entering the activated carbon bed to avoid blocking the pores of coconut shell activated carbon and causing it to lose its adsorption function. It is recommended to have a defocusing device to purify the gas.
4. Fire prevention: When storing or transporting coconut shell activated carbon, direct contact with a fire source should be avoided to prevent ignition. When regenerating coconut shell activated carbon, oxygen should be avoided and the regeneration should be thorough. After regeneration, steam should be used to cool it to below 80 ℃. Otherwise, if the temperature is high and it encounters oxygen, coconut shell activated carbon will spontaneously ignite.

Working principle
Coconut shell is selected as the raw material, activated by converter process and refined through wind selection, crushing, screening and other treatments. It has high strength, uniform particle size, developed microporous structure, strong selective adsorption of gold cyanide complex, easy to decompose and can be regenerated multiple times, and can be reused repeatedly. It has special adsorption properties for precious metals and is mainly used for gold extraction by carbon slurry method, heap leaching method, and separation and extraction of precious metals in metallurgical industry. In gold smelting, especially the carbon slurry method, it has a good effect on the leaching process for gold extraction. Mainly used for the extraction of gold and other precious metals by carbon slurry method. Low yield ore with high gold recovery rate is the activated carbon used in gold mines.
